Strong Store Trade Continues in Ireland

Whilst at the Tattersalls’ Derby Sale, the third major store sale of the year, we witnessed demand continue on its upward curve for NH prospects of the future.  After two days of selling we came away with two 3-y-o fillies, one by Presenting, the other by Oscar and a 3-y-o gelding by the late King’s Theatre.

The King’s Theatre, a second store purchase of the summer for The Jago Family is out of an unraced half sister to the Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Imperial Call.

With the race programme for Mares’ getting stronger and stronger each season, we were keen to purchase a filly. As the sale was responsible for the third highest price paid for a filly as a store, trade was evidently strong.

The Presenting filly is out of the King’s Theatre, Gr. 2 winning hurdler Brogella, who won 7 times before being retired to stud. A well known hurdler also features prominently in the pedigree of our third purchase, with the Oscar filly out of a French bred full sister to the five-time Gr. 1 winning Harchibald.
