Bold Chief completed a hat-trick for The Eyre Family yesterday evening when winning the BlueGlue C-Suite Novices' Chase at Newton Abbot.  He was an eased down winner under Noel Fehily after his main challenger Oscargo fell heavily two out, thankfully he quickly rose to his feet as did his jockey Nick Schofield.

Noel commented; “I had a very easy lead and was able to dictate things from the front.  His jumping was as good as ever and he gave me a great feel.”

Bold Chief has come out of the race in good form and we can now look at where we go next.  He may go for a good handicap chase, possibly at Market Rasen at the end of September.  However, we may decide to stick to the Novices' route and look at the 3m Novices' Chase at the first Cheltenham meeting in October.
