A double at Kempton on Sunday took our score for the season to 27.
Top marks to the course executive for deciding in midweek to put on this extra card of jumpers bumpers to help out trainers and owners who have lost so many opportunities to run their horses in the past six weeks.
Zulu Oscar, a really nice young prospect, was first on the scorecard for us. He was full of running when he took the lead two furlongs out and came home strongly to win impressively.
He missed a race at Newbury a month ago after a little setback but has done plenty of schooling and will be going hurdling when the ground dries out in the spring.
I am thrilled to have won two races with Zulu Oscar this season as he is owned by Susie Dilhorne and my mother Caroline, who has been such a staunch supporter since I started training.
Just over an hour later Presenting Arms completed our double in another bumper.
Running for the first time in almost a year and ridden by Gary Derwin he landed the spoils at the lengthy odds of 40-1.
This was a highly pleasing return to action by Presenting Arms who has been ready to run for the last month.
Now that he is back on track I hope there will be more to come from him over hurdles and maybe fences.
