It was good to see Thomas Brown bounce back to form at Bangor on Saturday after his below par run at Newbury in February. We ran various tests on him afterwards but nothing came to light. After much head-scratching we put his performance down to the heavy ground that day which was close to unraceable.

Thomas Brown is quite a character with plenty of ability. He certainly buckled down to the task at Bangor to reel in Otago Trail, a decent horse who had previously won easily at Fontwell.

Thomas Brown seemed to appreciate the better ground and is thankfully back on track. We will put him away now and campaign him next season over hurdles at distances in excess of two miles.
