Karinga Success at Exeter

Karinga Dancer made light of top weight in style in his first handicap over fences at Exeter on Tuesday.

In the closing stages he looked undeniably impressive as he pulled clear, although AP McCoy admitted he was far from confident on the horse as he jumped left handed in the early stages.

At that point AP said he was thinking of excuses! But Karinga Dancer warmed to the task and came home strongly with the race in safe keeping in the final half mile.

We always thought he would improve for the switch to fences. He shows plenty of speed, appreciates decent ground and though the handicapper will have his say hopefully there is scope for further improvement.
