We are excited to announce the launch of the Harry Fry Racing Club on September 1st.

It follows a number of enquiries over the summer from jumping enthusiasts keen to become involved in joint ownership.

Syndicates have increasingly been the way forward for many in racing in recent times, most notably with Motivator in the 2005 Derby and Penzance in the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham. It is practical way of sharing the cost and the entertainment.

We plan to start with four horses leased from my landlord Richard Barber. They include the wonderfully game and consistent seven year old mare Highland Retreat who won three times over hurdles last season, is now rated 144 and will be going chasing this winter.

She will be joined by the progressive six year old Blue Buttons, twice successful last season.

These are two horses that any owner would love to see running in their colours. They will be joined by a pair of five year olds who have already gained valuable experience in point-to-points.

All four have summered well and are now back in full training.

The cost for the season to join the Club is £2,000 per person.

Naturally we hope that the Club will provide fun and success in equal measure.

All prize money won by the horses will be divided equally between Club members and Richard who has generously agreed to lease us all four horses without charge.

The one off payment by Club members for the season includes the cost of all training fees; veterinary bills; transport; shoeing; entries and riding fees. In addition, all members will receive an Owner's & Trainer's badge on HFRC race days as well as an annual HFRC badge. There will be no extra charges.

Members of the Harry Fry Racing Club will receive regular updates on entries, running plans and post-race reports and updates. They will also have the opportunity to visit Seaborough to see the horses in the yard and on the gallops.

Though we plan to start with four horses shared among forty members we would consider leasing a fifth horse if there is sufficient demand from members.
