A First For Arms.

Presenting Arms showed the benefit of a wind operation as he gained his first win over hurdles at Wincanton on Sunday.

He had looked highly promising when landing a jumpers bumper at Kempton in the spring but his attempts over hurdles have been undeniably disappointing to date.

We took the decision to try to improve his breathing with surgery on his wind in the summer and it certainly seemed to pay off on Sunday.

He was ridden by our claiming rider Gary Derwin who has done well to bounce back from a nasty injury earlier in the year.

We have twelve days to run Presenting Arms again before the handicapper reacts and will do so provided he is fine in the morning. One option isto run him in a boys race at Kempton on November 3.
