Desert Queen won with the minimum of fuss at Fontwell on Saturday on her second start since joining us early this year.

It was a victory which brought up a notable landmark for the yard as we have now had 35 winners this season, one more than our previous best last year.

Desert Queen led all the way in the Mares Novices Hurdle, jumping fluently and was totally in command throughout.

She had already won a couple of point-to-points before joining our team and I am very much looking forward to running her over fences next season.

On breeding Desert Queen should certainly make an exciting chaser as she is a grand daughter of Henry Cole's brilliant mare Dubacilla who won nine times over fences and finished second to Master Oats in the 1995 Cheltenham Gold Cup.
