This week was that of a memorable one for Harry Fry Racing as two of our star mares’ collected awards at the 2015 Doncaster Bloodstock Sales TBA Jumps Racing Awards.

Bitofapuzzle who provided us with our first Grade 1 last season, winning the Mares’ Novice Hurdle Championship at Fairyhouse, received two awards on the night for her breeders Robert and Shirley Carter when winning the Little Lodge Trophy for the leading hurdles mare and the Beech Tree Trophy for the leading novice hurdles mare.

The Grade One winning mare who runs in the colours of Chris Giles and Potensis Bloodstock was successful four times this season and also put up a gallant display against the older mares in the OLGB Mares Hurdle at Cheltenham when finishing third at the Festival.

The ultra-consistent Highland Retreat whose record now reads an incredible seven wins from 15 starts was the other award winner on the night for the team. She won the Overbury Trophy for the leading chase mare for breeder Richard Bridges after a strong winter campaign capped by a win in the Listed Betdaq No Premium Charge Mares' Chase at Doncaster.

Harry commented after the awards “It was a great honour to see two of our mares’ win awards for their breeders’ at the inaugural DBS TBA award ceremony.

The awards are a fantastic initiative by the TBA for the British breeders who are crucial to the growth and development of our industry and I would like to congratulate all on a fantastic evening.”
