Shuil Royale Shines in Summer Cup
Shuil Royale gained his biggest victory to date when winning the John Smith’s Summer Cup at Uttoxeter on Sunday.
The 10 year old son of King’s Theatre travelled keenly throughout but a good round of jumping and a patient ride from Noel Fehily saw the gelding make his way to an emphatic five length victory.
“Noel was worried he was his own worst enemy throughout the race as he was very keen, but when he asked the question he picked up nicely and did it quite well in the end.”
Shuil Royale, owned by Phil Fry, has now won three out of his four starts since joining Harry Fry last year.
“It is a great prize for this time of year and hopefully there's more to come from him.
“It is fantastic for Phil (Fry), he has been in the game a long time and this is his biggest win to date.”
