Owners Day Parade
The sight of thirty five of our horses parading at our Owners day on Sunday was a timely reminder that the jumps season will be moving up a gear or two in the next six weeks.
We got lucky with the weather as 200 guests enjoyed seeing many of our team before settling down to a long, liquid lunch in the marquee.
We have around 70 horses in training this time, the most we've ever had, and hopes are high that their owners will experience another rewarding season.
A strong team of novice chasers for the coming months is supported by a number of promising younger recruits who will start off in bumpers or over hurdles.
We will be quiet for another fortnight before having a few runners at Chepstow's new two day meeting on October 10 and 11.
After that we will get busier and busier as the weeks pass.
Our stable star Rock On Ruby has summered well and is on course to make his seasonal debut in a Grade 2 three mile hurdle at Wetherby on October 31.
