Zulu Oscar was deservedly back in the winner's enclosure at Kempton on Sunday after his luckless fall in the lead at the final flight at Doncaster a month ago.

He has now won on both his completed starts over hurdles and did well to see off the strong challenge of the well backed Affaire D'Honneur in the closing handicap at Kempton.

Although I made an entry for him I wasn't really planning to run him until it became clear that the ground at the track was probably going to be the best we could find for him in the next few weeks.

Zulu Oscar is clearly going the right way which makes it so frustrating that he is the most fragile horse in the yard.

Long term planning is out of the question as we have to take each day as it comes for him.

In the meanwhile we will try to keep him in one piece and look for another suitable race for him when the ground starts to dry out.
