Ascot on Saturday witnesses the next race in the OLBG Mares Road To Cheltenham series and what a contest it promises to be. We were fortunate enough to win the race last year with Bitofapuzzle and I've entered Desert Queen this time round.

Willie Mullins plans to send over his talented mare Vroum Vroum Mag to contest the Grade Two event, while The Govaness and Aurore D'Estruval are also entered.

Vroum Vroum Mag is just one of several outstanding mares trained by Willie Mullins and Saturday's outing will go a long way to deciding which engagement she takes up at the Cheltenham Festival. The French bred seven year-old currently has entries in the OLBG Mares' Hurdle, the World Hurdle and the Ryanair Chase.

Aurore D'Estruval, now trained by Rebecca Curtis made an encouraging return to action behind World Hurdle candidate Camping Ground at Cheltenham recently and will be looking to build on that with a solid display at Ascot before heading to the Festival for the OLBG Mares' Hurdle.

The Govaness is another interesting contender from the Dr Richard Newland yard. She made Polly Peachum pull out all the stops at Sandown a couple of weeks ago and will be bidding to go one better on Saturday.

Sports Betting Community OLBG.com  http://www.olbg.com/racing-live.php continue to support Mares racing and will move on to Doncaster for another Grade Two event on the 30th January before visiting Warwick in February.

The now Grade One OLBG Mares' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival is the highlight of their season with another Willie Mullins inmate Annie Power currently heading the ante-post market.
