Dream success for Jessber's

Jessber's Dream took our score for the season to 41 with a decisive success in the £30,000 Grade 2 Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Sandown on Friday.

It was a taking performance by her to boss a field of smart novices from the front in such taking style.

We were in two minds about running Jessber's Dream only six days after she finished second in the Listed Hurdle at Warwick last Saturday.

But Noel Fehily assured me she did not have a hard race there and was merely idling in front when she missed out the last flight which probably cost her the race.

As Jessber's Dream had eaten everything put in front of her since Warwick and appeared as fresh as paint at home it made sense to let her take her chance at Sandown while conditions were very much in her favour.

She now by-passes Cheltenham and heads instead to Fairyhouse on Easter Sunday for the Grade 1 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Hurdle Final won for us a year ago by the same owners as Bitofapuzzle.
