We were thrilled to see Karinga Dancer bounce back to form over hurdles at Fontwell on Saturday at the age of ten on the drier ground that he has been waiting for all winter.

With our amateur Mike Legg's claim taking a valuable seven pounds off his back Karinga Dancer was down to a handicap mark from which he had won before.

Despite being the oldest horse in the race he travelled well throughout before pulling clear in the straight to win by six lengths.

We've kept Karinga Dancer on the go through the last few months, waitIng patiently for better ground which he certainly seemed to appreciate on Saturday.

This was his seventh win in just over three years in the colours of Ray Geddes, a great point-to-point enthusiast, who has had horses with us since I started training.

Karinga Dancer will continue to run over hurdles as he struggles over fences. Hopefully the handicapper will not be too hard on him for this latest success.
