Henryville took our score for the season to 49 with a clear cut victory in a decent novice chase at Exeter on Tuesday.

Given a typically patient ride by Noel Fehily, he jumped well in the rear before taking up the running three out and keeping on to beat Golden Doyen by three lengths.

It was good to see Henryville back in action on his favoured good ground after he spent time on the sidelines after suffering a tiny chip to his cannon bone when he was beaten half a length by Irish Cavalier at Newton Abbot in October.

Hopefully he can now make up for lost time with a rewarding campaign through the spring and summer.

Henryville has been an excellent flag bearer for the yard and could head to Aintree next or more likely the Future Champions Novices Chase at the Scottish Grand National meeting at Ayr.
