Voix D'Eau capped a fine season with an impressive victory in the Grade 2 Listed Handicap Chase at Cheltenham on Wednesday.

This was yet another popular success for the forty members of the Harry Fry Racing Club who have enjoyed a hugely rewarding season.

Voix D'Eau earned £28,475 for the Club as he saw off the challenge of Art Mauresque in the closing stages under our amateur jockey Mike Legg.

He is as well now as he has been all season, clearly relished the dry ground at Cheltenham and travelled and jumped well before finding plenty when it mattered on the final hill.

It was maybe a case of a fresh, younger horse beating a bunch of older exposed chasers.

On Wednesday morning I entered Voix D'Eau in an extremely valuable novice handicap chase at Punchestown at the end of the month.

He would not want soft ground there but he has surely earned a shot at the race if conditions are suitable.

Further ahead Voix D'Eau could be an ideal candidate for a race at Cheltenham in October.
