Ciara and I are delighted to announce that Michael Legg has been appointed Assistant Trainer.

Up to now my wife Ciara and I have very much shared things between us, but with the number of horses in training with us on the increase we felt it was time to appoint another assistant to help share the workload.

Mike will help to manage the day to day running of the yard alongside Ciara and he will be ever more present on race days when Ciara and I are unable to attend.

Mike can be contacted on 07590 690898 and at michael@harryfryracing.com

Mike has proven a valuable member of the team since joining us nine months ago, primarily as our Amateur jockey and he will continue to ride as an Amateur under rules alongside his new role.

Aged 26, he comes from a local farming family and having previously worked for Colin Tizzard, he has ridden around 25 point-to-point winners as well as riding out his 7lb claim under rules.

Mike finished second in the NH Chase and the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival this season and while he has won a number of races for us in recent months he is in no doubt that the best horse he has ridden is Thistlecrack.

They won a bumper and also shared in the easiest of victories in a novice hurdle at Wincanton in January last year.

Mike is a hard worker and brings plenty of experience and expertise to his new role.
