Ishkhara Lady became our fifth bumper winner in the past three weeks with a taking victory on her debut at Plumpton on Monday.

A four year old filly by Scorpion she had been going nicely at home with some of our promising youngsters. We know the family well having had a fair bit of success with her half brother Zulu Oscar.

But you never really know until they get to the racecourse and the dream is very much alive after Ishkhara Lady won with eye-catching ease by fifteen lengths from Moroder.

It was a brilliant result for her owners, The Horse Flys Partnership who have been very patient since we bought her at Goffs May sale at Doncaster last year.

They were previously involved in our racing club and were keen to become more involved.

A wind op in the autumn delayed Ishkhara Lady’s debut but the wait was certainly worthwhile as she travelled smoothly through the race before easing to the front turning for home and quickly pulling clear.

Noel Fehily was among those very impressed by the manner of her triumph.

We will keep her to bumpers this season and are delighted to have unveiled another smart recruit to join our growing band of exciting prospects for hurdles next year.
