If The Cap Fits looked a smart young horse as he gained his second bumper victory in style at Taunton on Tuesday.

In winning with plenty to spare under a penalty he looked as though he had come on tonnes for his debut success at Plumpton at the end of November.

The pace was strong and for a moment in the straight it looked as If The Cap Fits might struggle to peg back Dan Skelton's runner Or De Vassy.

But then he clicked into top gear, eased into the lead and has gone away to win effortlessly in the manner of an exciting prospect for the future.

If The Cap Fits was given a good ride by our assistant Mikey Legg who was full of praise for the horse afterwards.

While we don't have any immediate plans for him we'd like to think he will be a decent novice over hurdles next season.
