Deadringerforlove makes perfect start

Deadringerforlove made the perfect start over hurdles at Chepstow on Thursday.

A scopey half sister to the Gold Cup winner Sizing John she had shown some promise in three bumpers this season and is now an extremely valuable mare after winning a Mares' Novice Hurdle decisively.

The good news for her owners, which includes her breeder Bryan Mayoh is that they get to share in a MOPS bonus of £10,000 for this victory.

Bryan sent Deadringerforlove to us with the view of leasing shares in her to three fellow enthusiasts while retaining 25%.

So everyone involved was delighted with the result at Chepstow where she travelled well before pulling clear on the flat despite jumping a bit big at the last.

She was given a typically sound ride by Sean Bowen who comes in once a week and looks set to be more involved with our team following the retirement of our great ally Noel Fehily on Saturday.

As Sean is talented, strong and enthusiastic he is much in demand but I am sure we will work well together.

We will look to run Deadringerforlove somewhere under a penalty. She will get further, is a novice until November 1st and we might be tempted to run her over fences next season.
