Secret brings up the double century
We reached a notable landmark on Thursday with the success of Secret Door at Ludlow.
In taking the mares' handicap hurdle with something to spare she became the 200th winner for the yard in this country since we began in October, 2012.
We could not have asked for a better start and could not have done it without the support of all the owners who have sent us so many nice horses over the past four and a half years.
Secret Door was our 56th winner of the season, more than we have achieved before, and she is now qualified for the final of the Challenger Mares' Hurdle Series at Haydock on Easter Saturday in which she finished third a year ago.
Although Ludlow is a good three and a half hours drive from Seaborough we are always keen to support the course as they always provide decent prize money. We can understand their frustration at their lack of runners on Thursday.
Secret Door was gaining an overdue first success after a series of consistent displays last season.
She then suffered a setback in the autumn just as she was ready to run but has been going well at home recently and the race at Ludlow came at an ideal time for her.
She should come on for the outing after such a long time out of action and will be fresher than a number of her opponents at Haydock in the final.
