Harry wins the Cleeve Hurdle
Unowhatimeanharry completed his countdown for the Cheltenham Festival with a clear cut success over the course in the Cleeve Hurdle on Saturday.
It was encouraging to see Barry Geraghty looking full of confidence on him coming down the hill and it wasn't misplaced.
The horse then eased to the front before, as usual, thinking he had done enough as he came home a length and three-quarters ahead of Cole Harden.
Given that Unowhatimeanharry was conceding 4 lbs to his principal rivals and always keeps a bit in reserve this was a perfect warm up for the Stayers Hurdle which has been his main target all season.
Hopefully it is a good omen that Thistlecrack won the Cleeve Hurdle twelve months ago on his way to completing the double at the Festival.
Bookmakers were impressed, too, as they cut his price for the big day to as short as 5-4 in places. Now it is a question of keeping him in good form at home over the next six and a half weeks.
